Feature Sparkling Wines - The Longest Tasting - Bruny Island Long Weekend
Arras Grand Vintage
Arras is arguably Australia's greatest sparkling maker and we're thrilled to have their wines on our walk. This will be a wine of outstanding quality, enriched by the great complexity of character that follows seven years of tirage.
Stefano Lubiano NV
Stefano Lubiana's estate-grown sparkling will launch our trip in style. It's the closest sparkling vineyard on the Derwent River to our departure point. It’s a classical elegant sparkling from one of Tasmania’s best winemakers grown at their biodynamic vineyard.
Moorilla Praxis Sparkling Riesling
Moorilla is the home of Mona, located on the Derwent River not far from Hobart. Their sparkling Riesling is a trailblazer, the first made in Tasmania. It's surprising and delicious with oysters shucked fresh from the ocean.
Clover Hill Vintage Rose 2015
Clover Hill is one of Tasmania’s favourite winemakers. Their exquisite vintage sparkling rosé offers a soft salmon blush, a fine persistent bead and mouth-filling mousse. What a treat!
Joseph Chromy Vintage Sparkling 2015
The inspirational team behind Effervescence Tasmania create the award-winning wines at Josef Chromy. This vintage Sparkling will make a perfect toast to celebrate the company on the walk. It is made by Jeremy Dineen, a great mate of Bruny Island cheesemaker Nick Haddow.
Haddow and Dineen Hundred Days Methode Ancestrale
Nick Haddow of Bruny Island Cheese and Jeremy Dineen of Josef Chromy have partnered to create an intriguing sparkling known as ancestrale…the oldest and most fraught way to make sparkling wine.
