Slovenia, Italy to Croatia Alpine Hiking Journey (11-days)
Day 1: Welcome to Slovenia
On arrival to Ljubljana, you will be met by our representative at the airport for a transfer to your hotel in the city’s quaint and beautiful old district. Depending on what time you arrive, the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, meet with your guide and the fellow walkers for your warm welcome and first taste of Slovenian cuisine.

Day 2: Beloved Ljubljana

Day two of our tour begins with a captivating exploration of Ljubljana, guided by a knowledgeable city expert. Immerse yourself in the architectural wonders of the city, as you discover the local variant of Art Nouveau known as "secesija.". As the day unfolds, we visit Ljubljana Castle and other important landmarks, of this remarkable city. In the evening, prepare for a true Slovenian culinary experience at a hands-on culinary class of traditional dishes. Indulge in the delicious meal you've created, featuring seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms or the nearby market.

Day 3: Bled with Triglav National Park
Approximately 2 hours of walking (6km)
Embark on a captivating journey to Bled in the Gorenjska region. Glide on a traditional Pletna boat to the enchanting island with the Church of Mary's Assumption. Visit the historic Bled Castle offering breathtaking vistas. Enjoy a delightful lunch before exploring the tranquil shores of Lake Bohinj and the majestic Mostnica Waterfall. Check-in at Hotel Bohinj for a warm and welcoming stay.

Day 4: Triglav National Park walk
Approximately 4-5 hours of walking (13.7km)
Experience the panoramic Zajamniki pasture on the Pokljuka plateau, passing charming cottages and lush meadows. Hike through the Bohinj Valley, witnessing abandoned farm buildings and Slovenian folk architecture. Descend to Srednja vas. From Javornica, we descend to Spodnje Podjelje and Jereka, continuing our journey through Češnjica until we reach the trailhead in Srednja vas.

Day 5: Julian Alps Walk
Approximately 3-4 hours walking (9km)
Our journey today begins in the picturesque village of Kranjska Gora, as we ascend towards the magnificent Vršič Pass, the highest mountain pass in the Eastern Julian Alps. Along the trail, we are surrounded by majestic pines and serene mountain streams. A visit to the Russian chapel, a wooden memorial built by prisoners of war, offers a poignant reminder of the past. After a satisfying lunch at Erjavčeva Koča hut, there's an optional hike to the summit of Vršič pass. In the evening, we indulge in a well-deserved feast prepared by a local chef, accompanied by delightful Slovenian wines.

Day 6: Soča Valley with Soča Gorge to Bovec
Approximately 6 hours walking (14km)
Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing beauty of the Soča Valley as you walk along the emerald ribbon of the Soca river. Traverse the Trenta Valley and admire traditional farmhouses against a backdrop of towering peaks. Cross the suspension bridge over Kršovec Gorge as you make your way towards Lepena. Explore the quaint town of Bovec, renowned for its' cheese production and savour local delights at your leisure.

Day 7: Boka Waterfall/River Soča/Kobarid, Slovenia
Approximately 7-8 hours walking (20km)
Prepare for an unforgettable day exploring the breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage of the Soča Valley. Marvel at the power of the majestic Boka waterfall as it cascades from a towering 106-meter height. Stroll alongside the picturesque Soča River, taking in the vistas beneath the Krn mountain. Discover the hidden gem of the tranquil Kozjak waterfall. Delve into the region's history with a private tour of a unique WW1 Museum. Tonight you’ll savour Slovenia's flavours at Restaurant Topli Val, where exquisite Mediterranean-style cuisine awaits.

Day 8: From the Alps to the wine region of Italy
Approximately 5-6 hours walking (10km)
Embark on an enchanting leg of the Alpe-Adria Trail, leading you through Slovenia's captivating Brda region. Traverse gentle hills adorned with terraced vineyards and orchards. Take in the sight of medieval castles and quaint villages, which proudly display their ancient traditions. As you cross the border into Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, your journey gains an international dimension. Conclude your walk in a serene village near Cormòns, where a delightful local lunch and artisanal wines await you at a charming family-run estate. The day concludes in the beguiling city of Trieste, a melting pot of diverse cultures, at our waterfront hotel boasting captivating views.

Day 9: From Vilenica Cave trough Lipica, Slovenia to Castello Miramare in Italy
Approximately 5 hours walking (8km)
Begin our day of discovery with a visit to Vilenica Cave, where you'll witness impressive rock formations and delicate stalactites. Next, take a scenic coastal walk along Slovenia's rugged coastline, with the Karst landscape on one side and the sparkling Adriatic Sea on the other. Enjoy a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant before exploring the intriguing Castello Miramare Museum. The evening is yours to unwind and enjoy the charming surroundings at your own pace.

Transfers: Hotel to Vilenica Caves (30 minutes)

Day 10: Hike mountain Učka in Croatia
Approximately 3-4 hours walking (10km)
Učka has always been a favourite destination for many hikers and nature-lovers. So it comes as no suprise that there are numerous hiking trails in and around Učka and Ćićarija. They are waiting for you to discover and explore them, regardless of whether you begin your adventure at coast, from Poklon or from Istria.
Central Istria will captivate you with its tranquil and natural beauty, leaving you yearning to return. Mountain Učka has always been a favourite destination for many hikers and nature-lovers with breathtaking views of Medieval towns perched on hilltops exude a fairy-tale-like charm, with bell towers, churches, and winding alleys on one side and an endless view of Croatian islands stretching along the Adriatic coast on the other. In the enchanting town of Rovinj, we gather for our final dinner, marking the end of our unforgettable journey through Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia. Savor delicious food, cherish each other's company, and bid farewell to the incredible experiences we've shared.

Day 11: Farewell Croatia
After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to your hiking adventure. We'll transfer you to Pula (PUY/LDPL) airport, taking with you, incredible memories, a sense of achievement, and the joy of being immersed in nature's wonders.
