Lady Eugenie Private Charters

This winter why not get some friends together and enjoy exclusive use of Lady Eugenie. Your charter will be fully staffed and offer a range of walking options throughout the day. Share with us the wonders of Maria Island, Freycinet Peninsula, Schouten Island and the Tasman Peninsula. With up to 4 guest rooms we can cater for groups of up to 8.

Lady Eugenie

Lady Eugenie is a luxurious, 23-metre (75-ft) ketch rigged yacht. She is five metres wide, which makes her stable, safe and comfortable for both novices and sailing enthusiasts.

Her clipper bow, complete with a bowsprit you can walk on, is perfect for watching dolphins and other marine life. There's nothing more exhilarating than turning off her engine, relaxing and harnessing the power of the wind in her sails.

With beautifully maintained teak decks and classical, varnished hand rails, Lady Eugenie’s spacious decks are the perfect setting for relaxing whilst taking in the stunning scenery of Tasmania’s east coast. The central cockpit provides plenty of comfortable seating, with a picturesque alfresco dining setting: a magical place to take in the sunset.

During the evening, you can relax in the delightful and spacious saloon with dining table and comfortable lounge. Her professionally equipped, separate galley for the crew guarantees delicious meals made from local produce.

Lady Eugenie has four comfortable cabins on board, all with air conditioning, bathrooms and showers.  There are two rooms with one double bed each and three with two twin beds each.

Bay of Fires Lodge

Set on a hilltop, 40 metres above the pounding of the sea and surrounded by National Park, the Bay of Fires Lodge is the only building on 20km of outstanding coastal wilderness. Enjoying views up and down the pristine white sandy beaches in an area of great significance to the Aboriginal community, a truly ecologically-aware building has been gently let into the landscape. Two long timber and glass pavilions allow maximum connection to the landscape with minimum impact on the environment: all building materials - Tasmanian hardwood and plantation pine - were lifted in by helicopter or hand carried to the site. The lodge is autonomous in providing and managing its existence. Here you will experience true communion with nature in accommodation that combines simplicity of design with comfort and warmth. In the magnificent living area with its large timber deck and open fire, you'll enjoy delicious meals prepared with the freshest local produce, accompanied by fine Tasmanian wines. Solar power provides the lighting, while hot showers and comfortable hotel beds add a touch of luxury at the end of each day's activities.
