Gift Voucher Purchase Terms and Conditions

By purchasing, using, or attempting to redeem a gift voucher, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These terms and conditions form part of an agreement between Tasmanian Walking Company Pty Ltd (ACN 127 733 742) and/or Australian Walking Company Pty Ltd (ACN 606 406 384) (“we”, “our” or the “Company”) and the guest(s) referred to in the gift voucher purchase form (“you”, “your” or the “recipient”).

1. Purchase of Gift Vouchers
1.1 Gift vouchers may be purchased online via our website or by contacting our sales team via phone or email:
 
1.2 Gift vouchers may be issued electronically or in another format determined by us.
1.3 Gift vouchers are issued in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
 
2. Validity and Expiry
2.1 Gift vouchers are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase, unless otherwise required by law.
2.2 The expiry date is strictly enforced. Any unused balance remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited and will not be refunded, credited, or extended.
2.3 It is the responsibility of the purchaser and/or recipient to ensure the voucher is redeemed before the expiry date.
 
3. Redemption of Gift Vouchers
3.1 Gift vouchers may only be redeemed by contacting our sales or guest services team via phone or email.
3.2 To redeem a gift voucher, the recipient must provide the valid gift voucher number at the time of booking or enquiry.
3.3 Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed online unless expressly stated otherwise.
3.4 Redemption is subject to availability, any applicable booking conditions and our standard booking terms and conditions in force at the time of redemption.
3.5 Gift vouchers must be redeemed for products or services offered by us and cannot be used for any third-party products or services unless expressly stated.
 
4. Non-Refundable and No Cash Redemption
4.1 Gift vouchers are not refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, or used as a deposit refund.
4.2 Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged, resold, transferred for value, or returned once purchased, except as required by law.
 
5. Partial Redemption
5.1 Gift vouchers may be redeemed in full or in part unless otherwise stated.
5.2 If a booking or purchase is less than the value of the gift voucher, any remaining balance will remain available for use until the voucher expiry date.
5.3 No change or cash will be provided for any unused portion.
 
6. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Vouchers
6.1 Gift vouchers should be treated like cash.
6.2 We are not responsible for lost, stolen, destroyed, damaged, or misused gift vouchers.
6.3 Replacement vouchers may be issued at our discretion if satisfactory proof of purchase and the original voucher number are provided.
 
7. Booking Changes, Cancellations, and No-Shows
7.1 When a gift voucher is redeemed for a booking, that booking is subject to our standard cancellation, amendment, and no-show policies.
7.2 If a booking made using a gift voucher is cancelled or forfeited in accordance with our cancellation policy, the voucher value (or relevant portion) will be forfeited and will not be reissued or extended.
 
8. Price Changes and Inclusions
8.1 Gift vouchers are issued for a monetary value, not for a specific product or experience unless expressly stated.
8.2 Gift vouchers do not guarantee availability on specific dates.
 
9. Fraud, Misuse, and Cancellation
9.1 We reserve the right to cancel or refuse to honour a gift voucher where we reasonably believe it has been: obtained fraudulently, altered or tampered with, used in breach of these Terms or used unlawfully.
9.2 Cancelled or voided vouchers will not be refunded.
 
10. Consumer Law
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded.
 
11. Changes to Terms
11.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.
11.2 The Terms applicable at the time of voucher purchase will apply to that voucher.
 
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of the applicable Australian state or territory will have exclusive jurisdiction.
