Cradle Mountain / Overland Track    May 2021

Walk review from Sue Muir, Cradle Mountain / Overland Track Tasmania

I have just completed the Overland Track (signature) with the TWC. This is my third walk with them and they are a most amazing company to walk with. As always with the TWC, the guides, Sean and Leighton, were the sort of guides that you could put your absolute trust in, they guided us through some really tough weather at the start of the trip. It was a tough walk for me but worth it for the scenery that was just brilliant every day. We started with sleet, snow and 80 kph winds up to Marians lookout and had a tough, cold first day and a half. After that we walked under blue skies on a track dusted with a few centimetres of fresh snow which made all the peaks, surrounding plants and trees just magical.

If you are planning to do this walk, train ahead of time just as TWC advises and have all the clothes suggested by TWC. They know what they are talking about. I don't have a highlight for this trip, it was all amazing. My fellow walkers were great fun to be with and evening meals were a laugh.
