My husband and I (along with our two good friends) booked into the inaugural Tasmanian Walking Co Whisky Walk featuring Bill Lark, not really knowing what to expect. We'd never done a multi-day hike before!
What followed was a fabulously memorable 4 days. Our guides Mike and Dandy were exceptional. They made is feel so comfortable and we were reassured by their calm and knowledgeable instruction.
The lodges were wonderful as were our lodge hosts. The food was not only bountiful, but delicious - providing us with the fuel we needed to recover from our big walking days. And sitting around a roaring fire after dinner with a whisky, Bill Lark regaling us with stories of starting his own whisky distillery in suburban Hobart was a truly magical experience.
