We love walking with families. Our walks are nature-made adventures, perfect for engaging children. Our naturalist guides are keen to share their passion for nature through story-telling and in-the-field activities. Our walks provide a great way for families to share and overcome challenges, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and join us for three-days of unwinding on the coastal trails of the Great Ocean Road and the Great Otways National Park. With shorter walk days, you'll have more time to relax in our private eco-lodge. Disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with nature. Indulge your senses with private footspas and long table dinners awash with fresh seafood and local produce, plus drinks for hikers both young and old.

Your three-day guided walk covers 30 kilometres of stunning Victorian coastline. Prepare for untouched beaches and towering Eucalypts. Spot koalas and learn about local flora and fauna and history of the Great Otway's from our expert guides.

Approximately 3.5 hours walking

After a restful night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, we set off on another day of exploration. This time, we meander through native stringybark forest, where the scent of eucalyptus fills the air. If the tide allows, we descend onto Wreck Beach, a hidden gem that forms part of a treacherous coastline rich in maritime history and responsible for some 180 shipwrecks over the years. After lunch, we visit the enchanting rainforest trail of Melba Gully with towering Mountain Ash and Beech Myrtle with an understory of tree ferns and a soundscape of flowing waterfalls.

The Twelve Apostles Lodge

At the end of a day out on track, the Twelve Apostles Lodge is a forest-hugged refuge three hours from Melbourne. This is where the foot spa awaits, rainforest showers, kitchen garden, dining room stocked with local wines, and your king bedroom with spacious en-suite.

The architecturally-designed lodge has been crafted with environmental sensitivity in mind. This translates to passive solar design, hydronic heating, low consumption electric and water fittings, on-site wastewater treatment and composting, plus a self-sufficient water supply. And there’s a reason this eco-development is award-winning, delivering modern comforts with equal rigour.

What’s more, the lodge is exclusively yours. The only way to stay is to join one of our walks. That means the moment you arrive, consider it home. Unpack your bags and get comfy. Five generous bedrooms can be converted to king or twin share - all enjoying access to private en-suite bathrooms.

The dining room has a lounge area well-suited for canapes when the fire pit isn’t crackling with friend-huddling flames. After a glass of regional red, move to the long table for your nightly three-course regional menu.
