Cradle Mountain / Overland Track    October 2017

Walk review from Sue Rieck, Cradle Mountain / Overland Track Tasmania

I am 70 years old and I just completed Cradle Mountain Walk.

It was a hard but beautiful experience. The scenery is amazing. Accommodation and meals are of a very high standard. Home made bread and fruit cake for lunch made fresh each day.

Although a fit 70 year old I was slower than others in group. Guides walked and talked to me each day. Some days we left early with one of the guides to get ahead on longer days.

We had great weather with rain only on days 5 and 6. I got to see snow for the first time.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. I did a lot of training but not enough with my back pack on.
