We have just come off the Three Capes Walk.
What a magical 4 days it was. Having been on two walks before with the Tasmanian Walking Company we knew what to expect in the way of a truly professional and 5 star experience and we were not disappointed. Our accommodation was very comfortable. The food at the lodges and what was packed each day for lunch was delicious and plentiful. Our guides were fantastic. Jimmy, ever calm and patient as he waited for me to catch my breath as we ascended some pretty daunting steps cleverly distracting me by talking about the view around us or just standing quietly allowing me to feel no pressure to get going. Gus regaled us with wonderful stories about the explorers to this part of Tassie as well as sharing his passion for the natural emvironment and the need to be mindful of how we interact with it. We also were lucky to have a young man Noah doing work experience who also helped us along the way. All that was left for us to do was to enjoy each day, taking in the incredible scenery of the coast. We were lucky to be walking with like minded people who started out as strangers but definitely left as friends. Lots of laughs along.the way made for an amazing experience. Thanks again TWC.
