Cradle Mountain / Overland Track    May 2022

Walk review from Ron Quick, Cradle Mountain / Overland Track Tasmania

I'm 74, I've walked the Overland independently 5 times.

The weather is always unpredictable, so the snow, hail, rain, wind, frost and clear skies were to be expected. What a treat to arrive at a warm hut and be offered real coffee and freshly cooked muffins.

The TWC treated us professional from the moment we were collected in Launceston, our guides Sakura and Beth [far too young to be so completely competent and trustworthy] made us all feel safe and welcome. Our crowd of friendly, enthusiastic, totally engaged fellow walkers made the trip a total joy.

This time on the track exceeded my expectations, i've been busy recommending it to friends.

Thanks to Sakura and Beth, we had a blast.
