Walk review from Mel, Three Capes / Tasman Peninsula Tasmania

Where to start! I had never done a multi day walk before but booked onto The Three Capes Signature Walk with TWC as a birthday gift to myself. I had no idea it would one of the greatest experiences of my life and reignited my love for our beautiful state.

We had a group of 14 who were all so amazing, supportive, fun and interesting - we all got along so well it was like we had all known each other our whole lives. As the only Tasmanian, I loved seeing Tassie through the eyes of our visitors, it was so special. Our guides Mike and Caity were simply glorious. They made everything so seamless, were so warm and welcoming and Mike treated us all to a killer jam session at Pillar Lodge that blew us all away. What an asset to TWC they both are.

The food.....oh my god,......the food. It was spectacular! You will not go hungry on this walk and definetly not thirsty with a huge range of wines, beers, hot drinks and cordial on offer at each lodge. I was genuinely shocked at what was available to us. Although i am not a sweets eater, my fellow walkers RAVED about the afternoon cakes that were available every afternoon (they looked delish!)

The lodges are super comfy, gorgeous lounge areas to all hang out, have a drink, read a book or just soak in the view. Beds are really comfy, misting showers were great, toilets spotlessly clean (and not smelly at all!), drying rooms were brilliant, and I really appreciated that the lodges had great supplies on hand for blisters etc.

If you pack according to the gear list, your pack weight will be more than manageable. While there are some challenging parts to the walk, you have lots of stops but just go at your own pace. The guides and the group will support and encourage you and you will absolutely love it.

Three Capes is an incredibly special place. It almost felt like a spiritual experience. I went in June and we had incredibly clear days, we were so blessed so be able to see as far as Freycinet at one point. It was breathtaking.

I could not fault this walk. It is more than ii ever imagined it could be. It luxurious and worth every cent. I can't wait to get back up there and do it all again :)

Thank you for making this the best birthday ever x
