Bay of Fires / East Coast    November 2010

Walk review from dave, Bay of Fires / East Coast Tasmania

As an ecologist based in Godzone (i.e. NZ) I am used to landscapes of great beauty and awe. Yet the Bay of Fires trek simply has to rank as one of my most awesome experiences to date. The landscapes/seascapes there are exceptional. And as for the guides - as well as being a University qualified ecologist (who simply knew everything about everything), Dom (our guide) snorkelled for us at Beach Camp and we dined on the finest entree of Abalonee (the best seafood ever). I never do the same trip twice - but in this case I think I might have to make an exception. The Bay of Fires trek is beyond brilliance ... I'll be seeing you again !!
