CloseBay of Fires / East Coast April 2011
Two girlfriends and I undertook this walk in early April (also a couple from Sydney). For all sorts of reasons we were worn out and this became the therapy that we needed to reinvigorate and revive. We had the great fortune to experience perfect conditions and we felt we were in paradise. We were relatively fit so the walking was never too onerous although, somethimes, it was challenging. We hadn't carried packs before but, by day four, we hardly felt them. Our guides (Liz and Nikki) were informative and wonderful company and, once we arrived at our overnight stay, they turned into chefs. We were thrilled with the tent stay and then overwhelmed by the beauty of the eco-lodge. We adored the whole experience which is well-planned and respectful of a pristine environment. Serenity was the norm and we loved it. Thanks to all.
