We set out with our two friends and six soon to be friends along with our amiable guides, Alan and Polly on a six day adventure.
There was a cold wind blowing at Ronny Creek carpark but the climb to Marion's Lookout soon warmed us up. On the way to Waterfall Valley there were stunning displays of Fagus in Autumn colors. Fortunately the weather held out and we were all able to complete the climb to the summit of Mt Ossa. The clouds parted briefly so we were able to see the three peaks of Barn Bluff, Cradle Mountain and Mt Oakleigh.We had glorious sunshine for the last two days and the final walk across the buttongrass plains afforded us spectacular views of the ranges surrounding Lake St Clair.
