Bay of Fires - Lauretta & Jim's tale

Escaping from the big city to this majestic and pristine wilderness for a short break has been a travel highlight.

The long stretches of white sand, turquoise waters and lichen-covered rocks provide a wonderful palette of colour and natural beauty as you stroll along with your companions and guides, with no other human beings in sight!

We were joined by some wonderful companions - thanks to Liselle, Monica, David, Andrea, Annie, Helen & Carol for your company. Our guides, Joel & Nicky were exceptional - providing insight and humour along the way. They also work really hard so lots of kudos to them.

The Bay of Fires lodge is superb - comfortable, peaceful and perfectly situated. The food & wine provided is also fantastic. It was really hard to leave and a culture shock to return to normality. Thank you to everyone for a great holiday.
