Cradle Mountain / Overland Track    January 2018

Walk review from Lenore Drinkwater, Cradle Mountain / Overland Track

We have just completed the six day Overland Track Hike from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair.

At the age of 69 and my husband aged 73 we were overwhelmed by the care, support and encouragement that we received from our two awesome leaders, Lauren and Michael, and from all in our wonderful group. What an exhilarating experience! The wonderful landscapes ever-changing from day to day, great weather and the comforts of a hot shower, great food and Tasmanian wine, wonderful company, and a warm bed at the end of each day made each day an amazing experience. The generosity of spirit from three fit young men in our group who insisted in adding some of the weight out of our packs to their own each day to lighten our loads left us lost for words and made each day’s walk much more manageable - thank you Mark, Neill and Chris. We both feel incredibly uplifted by such a unique experience and a great sense of achievement from completing the Overland Track
