A few days ago I completed the overland track and it was the BEST experience I have ever had.
As an individual who does not have all the right gear, and had no experience carrying a heavy pack, going with the Tasmanian Walking Company was a dream. The pack was comfortable and I am now inspired to go and get all of my own gear. As for the actual walk, it is truly one of a kind - everyone should do it!!! The landscape, so diverse and beautiful, with flora and fauna I have never seen. You are so well looked after, the food is delicious, you sleep so well, and the other hikers on my trip were delightful humans. We were also lucky enough to climb Mount Ossa (the highest mountain in Tas) which was one of my highlights from the trip. Last but definitely not least, shoutout to our amazing guides Annie and Ziah. They exuded confidence, which made us never doubt our safety, they are extremely knowledgable, kind, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who went above and beyond, attending to everyone on the trip so thoughtfully. Thank you to everyone from the Tasmanian Walking Company for making trips like this possible.
