The brand behind the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk
Have you ever noticed that behind each Tasmanian Walking Company carefully curated itinerary is an equally considered brand and creative expression?
Let us explain...
Since we started guiding guests from hut to hut on the Overland Track almost 40 years ago, we have drawn inspiration from the landscape to design a logo and other creative assets that visually represent the experience.
The sweeping curves of the Bay of Fires and epic peaks of Cradle Mountain can be seen in logos associated with these Signature Walks.

As we embarked on development of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk in partnership with Aṉangu Traditional Owners, we were excited to commence this artistic exploration once again and invited Aṉangu artists to contribute.
With a shared vision for the journey to connect people to this place through storytelling, we are proud to share the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk brand.

The logo features a painting by Merium Jingo and Evelyn Ailek in partnership with Maruku Arts, titled, Feet, that symbolises walking together.
Merium and Evelyn’s artwork and the brand represent almost ten years of working with and learning from Aṉangu to develop this world-first walking experience that will also create new jobs and boost the local economy as we reinvest in regional business development.
As we trace the footsteps and trails of the Aṉangu, embracing the rare privilege of traversing land few have walked before.

Aṉangu Elder Vincent is featured in a short film that captures the essence of the brand, practicing sand painting in the iconic red earth of this land. Sand painting is a powerful Anangu tradition used for religious and ceremonial expression, teaching, and storytelling. Through the sharing of stories, art, and food, guests will gain a deeper understanding of Aṉangu culture - just as Tasmanian Walking Company co-owner Brett Godfrey experienced when he trekked with Aṉangu almost a decade ago:
“This journey started in 2015 when I walked with Traditional Owners for 150 kilometres from the South Australian border to touch Uluṟu seven days later. It was one of my life's great experiences and it made me want to seek permission to sensitively share this cultural phenomenon with anyone prepared to tackle the desert and immerse themselves in Aṉangu history. In my view it will attract an international market and become one of the great walks of the world,” Mr Godfrey said.
The Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk brand complements our other Signature Walk brands and will continue to lead our storytelling around this exciting new journey set to start in 2026 - find out more here.
