At Tasmanian Walking Company, we’ve spent decades perfecting the art of walking journeys — blending nature, culture, expert guiding, and warm hospitality into truly memorable experiences. But when one of our owners began planning a guided hike in Patagonia, they noticed that while there were plenty of great options, something was missing: nothing offered the unique combination of comfort, care, and connection that our guests know and love (or the TWC touch, as our guests call it). 

From this moment of inspiration, Guided by Nature was born. 

Created by the award-winning experts at Tasmanian Walking Company, Guided by Nature brings our signature style of walking to some of the world's most extraordinary destinations. Working together with trusted local partners, we curate journeys that capture the spirit of exploration while delivering the high standards our guests expect — expert local guides, small groups, hearty meals, premium accommodation, and authentic cultural immersion.

How Guided by Nature Has Grown into a Global Hiking Brand 

When we first launched Guided by Nature in 2023, it was an exclusive, invitation-only experience for our Tasmanian Walking Company VIPs and past guests — offering unforgettable journeys to Patagonia, Japan, and the Dolomites. The response was overwhelming. We quickly saw just how much our walking community wanted to explore the world in the Tasmanian Walking Company way.  In 2025, we expanded to nine breathtaking destinations, and for 2026, we've carefully handpicked the very best for our global departures. Now, Guided by Nature is open to all keen walkers — not just our past guests — inviting even more adventurers to experience the world’s greatest trails with the care, comfort, and connection we’re known for.
