From breathtaking coastal scenery to meaningful family connection, discover why this guided adventure exceeded every expectation. We got the chance to ask Tam some questions about her trip...
Where did you walk with TWC, with who, and what were you expecting from the adventure?
My 12yr old son and I did the Three Capes Long Weekend walk (family friendly) together. I had walked 3 Capes with TWC before and wanted to share this beautiful place with my son. I know that TWC plan wonderful experiences, but this was an unexpectedly moving beyond my expectations.
Were you surprised by much?
Yes! It was a joy to hike with brilliant guides whose knowledge and connection to the landscape enhanced the experience so generously. Also, the connections made with the other families sharing this together.
What was your favourite moment (or three!) from the trip?
So hard to choose! The beautiful hike itself and natural encounters, walking with my son, swim in the ocean, beautiful food and company, wonderful guides.
What tips would you offer people considering a guided walk with TWC?
Book it in! It's so special. Good hiking shoes and a merino t shirt!
Where to next?
We'd love the challenge of the Overland track...Tasmania is magnificent. We'd go anywhere.
Anything to add?
I just wanted to write to say how absolutely wonderful our experience was on the Three Capes Long Weekend with our brilliant guides, Bill and Annika. Their generosity, positivity, knowledge, wisdom and love of the Tasman peninsula imbued every part of our trip. I would have to say that it was such a special time to share with my son (12yrs)- really shaped by the guides in this amazing place. The impact on ourselves as individuals, as mother and son and together as part of a group too cannot be underestimated. I am so grateful for this and thank Bill and Annika for acknowledging and guiding us with natural principles at heart. Thank you so much. I'm ready to book again as a family!
